D’ARTAGNAN SCORZA, PH.D.
Dr. D’Artagnan Scorza is a renowned education advocate and social justice leader whose work centers on building equitable communities and schools. As the inaugural Executive Director of Racial Equity for Los Angeles County, he has led the charge in advancing justice in communities. Dr. Scorza is also a lecturer in the Fielding School of Public Health at UCLA and the President of the UCLA Alumni Association. His impressive achievements include the founding of the Social Justice Learning Institute, the creation of the Urban Scholars program, and the securing of $90 million to support school construction efforts. Dr. Scorza’s work has been recognized by several organizations, and he has been featured in prominent publications and podcasts. He is a sought-after speaker and presenter, sharing his expertise on leadership, community building, and advancing racial and social justice.
TANITRA SCORZA, D.M.A.
Dr. Tanitra Scorza is a highly experienced consultant with a passion for education and equity. After working with Fortune 500 companies, she found that while they focused on developing talent, they failed to integrate principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion in their practices and day-to-day operations. As a lifelong learner, Dr. Scorza has spent countless hours researching new and established technologies that make the learning environment engaging and informative. Her expertise in instructional design, data analysis, and organizational skills allows her to assist clients in achieving their objectives using programs such as the Articulate 360 suite. With her critical problem-solving proficiency and ability to organize and complete multifaceted projects, she is devoted to maximizing their success. Dr. Scorza is a seasoned instructional designer, researcher, former teacher, and businesswoman who has a solid understanding of adult learning principles, research, and instructional design. With a doctorate from UCLA in music performance and pedagogy, she founded her music school to teach music to historically under-resourced communities, created a curriculum, and became a general education classroom instructor. Dr. Scorza also led diversity, equity, and inclusion work for her school site and shared her art education integration training with fellow teachers.
